Hello, I am the head instructor at All Over Yoga. I come from a grappling background. I wrestled folk-style in high school, continued on a club team in college and am now an assistant wrestling coach at Arapahoe High School. However, my truest passion is in the martial art and self-defense of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ).
I started BJJ in 2010 when I was living in NYC. I am now a Brown Belt in the practice—there are five primary belts: White, Blue, Purple, Brown, and Black, respectively. A couple years into this practice I decided to try yoga. I figured it would help with my flexibility. What I did not expect from Yoga was for it to become such an all over benefit to me—hence the name, “All Over Yoga”. Yoga went beyond the flexibility benefit I was looking for. Its effects came onto the BJJ mats with me and into my daily life, helping me with more than my athletic needs. There was way more to Yoga than I ever imagined!
Yoga is truly an all over practice. I recently began my journey to being a Yoga instructor by receiving my 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certificate from CorePower Yoga in May 2018. I am now driven to share yoga with individuals like you—individuals who have a passion for a practice outside of the yoga realm.
You do not have to be an athlete, a grappler, a crossfitter, a marathoner, or a gym rat to gain improvements from taking a class at All Over Yoga, because I teach Yoga as it should be—a practice for every-BODY! Here at All Over Yoga, you will see classes focused on complimenting, improving and facilitating an active body and mind—movement, strength, balance, flexibility, and recovery.
